Abstract:
Natural disasters and catastrophes such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, fire and terrorism pose incredibly difficult challenges to government officials and the public. The applicability of typical valuation techniques is inevitably challenged, normal timetables are disrupted, and time-honored procedures are questioned. This session will explore the many facets of coping with disaster which directly and adversely impact the real property tax system.
